With the Stripe View feature in TallyPrime, you can now view data in reports and vouchers with stripes. Using stripes in reports and vouchers helps you to view data in each row distinctly, enhancing the overall readability. TallyPrime allows you to use stripes at your convenience and needs. You can use stripes across all reports/vouchers or only selected reports/vouchers. You can also include stripes in reports/vouchers while using specific functions like Print, Export, E-mail, and WhatsApp.
1. Enable Stripe View for all Reports / Vouchers
Enabling the Stripe View at the application level displays stripes across all the vouchers and reports. If you don’t want to enable Stripe View at the application level, then you can also enable it at the voucher/report level through F12 Configuration.
1.1. View Reports/Vouchers with Stripes
To view stripes across all your reports and vouchers at the application level for all reports/vouchers:
- Press F1 (Help) > Settings > Display > under Application, set both Enable Stripe View for Reports and Enable Stripe View for Vouchers to Yes.

Once you have enabled Stripe View, you can view the vouchers, as shown below:

1.2. Enable Stripe View for Print, Export, E-mail, WhatsApp Reports with Stipes (Application Level)
You can enable the Stripe View feature for either Print, Export, or Share at the application level, and the option Enable Stripe View for Reports will be set to Yes automatically, for all of them.
To configure Stripe View at the application level while printing the reports in TallyPrime:
- Press Alt+P (Print) > Configuration > Printer Settings > set Enable Stripe View for Reports to Yes.

2. Enable Stripe View for specific Report/Voucher
Once you enable Stripe View at the voucher/report level through F12 Configuration, you’ll immediately notice that the data is displayed in stripes. This is applicable for the particular voucher or report, and it doesn’t affect the settings of all the vouchers and reports. In case, you wish to enable stripes for all the vouchers and reports, you can enable it at the application level. (hyperlink with the application level configuration)
2.1. View Reports / Vouchers with Stripes
To view stripes for a specific report or voucher:
- Open any report or voucher in TallyPrime > press F12 (Configure) > set Enable Stripe View to Yes.

2.2. Print, Export, E-mail, WhatsApp with stripes
If you are enabling Stripe View at voucher/report level, you can independently configure and enable Stripe View for Print, Export, or Share.
Note: If you are exporting a report in excel, the Stripe View feature will not be applicable for the report.
To enable stripes while printing a particular report or voucher:
- Open the report or voucher in TallyPrime > press Ctrl+P (Print) > select C (Configure) > under Printer Settings, set Enable Stripe View to Yes.

Note : The Dot Matrix and Quick/Draft format does not support printing with stripes. |
Stripe View is designed to ensure better readability of columnar data across TallyPrime, especially in reports and vouchers. Therefore, stripes are not expected to appear in the following cases:
- Message boxes, configuration screens, and selection tables
- Subforms, such as Bill allocations, Inventory allocations, and so on
- Master screens and summary screens, such as Exchange Summary, Migration and Repair Summary, and so on
